      no. shawn marion is a notorious stat killer. he consistently scores buckets and is a relentless defender, stacking rebounds and blocks every game. I must say that steve nash is the major catalyst in marion's success, so if trade talks solidify you might be in trouble.

        I look at it differently. Marion was a notorious stat killer until last year. Not to say that he didn't produce in just about every category, it's just that I expected more from him when I drafted him. He did have to adjust to a healthy Stoudemire getting his touches but he definitely struggled compared to the three years before last. I've always been a fan of Gasol, so to hear that his sixth man is also his best friend should add to his numbers. If the trade could help your team more than it does damage (Gasol for PTS/AST, Marion for 3PT/ST), then you'd have another C as well as Brandon Roy.
