I am in excellent shape at RB but need some help at WR. My RB's are A. Morris, D. Martin and S. Ridley. No one else. At WR, I have Dez Bryant, T.Y. Hilton, C. Shorts, D. Hopkins and Terrance Williams as a handcuff for Dez in case he goes down. I was just offered R. Wayne for S. Ridley. Should I take it or just go with what I have? This one's a doozie!!
I would downgrade Reggie Wayne's value. Be careful, he was on the decline before last season's rejuvenation with the aid of Luck and a coach battling for his life to keep him going every week.
It would be wise, in your format, to get the best WR you can for Ridley, or perhaps a top TE or starting QB, based on your need there. You can do better than Wayne.
It would also be wise to switch out Terrance Williams and perhaps also the rookie Hopkins of HOU. I understand that Hopkins is a top prospect in an appealing situation, across from Andre Johnson in a potent offense. However, history shows that you will be disappointed by his production. Rookie WRs are almost NEVER worth owning in fantasy. And handcuffing a stud WR with a backup is an absurd fantasy idea. That roster spot is too valuable to do that, and chances are other WRs available will be more productive even in the case that stud WR goes down.
You'd be better served picking up other WR or even another RB, anticipating a trade of Ridley in the weeks ahead. What are some names available at WR. You say there's no better options than Terrance Williams... throw them out there, some of the top options, and we'll go over why/how they should be better.
Top RBs to consider are Le'Veon Bell and Chris Ivory. Both to be primary backs in run heavy offenses. Potential RB2 value, easy.

If there's no RB or WR you want from FA to replace Williams, just look at which D gets a really easy draw next week and grab them a week early.
Because, yeah, you are wasting that roster spot. Even if Dez gets hurt, the beneficiary will be Austin.
Who's available on the waiver wire? Can you play all 3 RB's? I got so many questions before I want to answer. I would drop Williams and try and pick up someone on the waive wire before I would trade away Ridley for Wayne. I haven't heard of anyone keeping handcuffs for a WR.

There aren't really any better options on the waiver wire. Unfortunately its a 2 RB format with no flex. The only reason I picked up Williams was because of Dez's history of being injury prone. I kinda just wanna keep Ridley as a backup to rotate in and out based on matchups but I know I can get a valuable WR.
