Who to Start Message Board
So here's my team in a 12team standard scoring system with a Flex position. We also keep 2 players starting next year.
QB- Ben Roethlisberger
RB1- Ray Rice
RB2- Darren McFadden
RB Flex- Ryan Mathews or Fred Jackson(injured)
WR1- Antonio Brown
WR2- Randall Cobb or Andrew Hawkins
TE- Jerimichael Finley
As you can see I have alot of RB depth. My bench consists of handcuffs Mike Goodson, Kendal Hunter, and Toby Gerhardt.
I am weak at WR. Actually just recently acquired Cobb and Hawkins. Dropped Blackmon bc Gabbert SUCKS. My thinking is I should trade Ray Rice and cobb or Hawkins for a decent RB and get a better WR.
Here is what I have been offered:
Willis McGahee/Brandon Marshall for Ray Rice/Hawkins
Willis McGahee/Andre Johnson for just Ray Rice...think I like Marshall over AJ this year though
BGE/Percy for Ray Rice/Cobb
Should I move Rice to pick up a better WR and Tier 2 RB? Rice averages about 18pts a game. I like Hawkins and am starting him this week against a week Washington DF. Freddy really hurt my team getting injured and Blackmon dropping a goose egg led me to 0-2! Ouch
I wouldn't trade rice unless you are getting Calvin Johnson in return. Wide receivers are tough this year and mostly average. Have the strong top 3 Rbs will take younfarther. Remember everyone is pretty much hurting at Wr. Keep your strength.
I would keep Hawkins as he will be coming all the rest of the year. I have picked him up in my 2 leagues and he got me a TD last week. His speed is unreal and most teams will be keying on Green and not him
You should never trade Ray Rice ever. He stays healthy throughout the season & is one of the best in the league. I played Andre over Cobb this week. There both a gamble but week to week stats. Andre is more consistent.

If you're dead set on shopping Rice for a top WR, why not try to get a reliable TE too? Maybe try Rice and Finley for a top tier WR, a mid range RB and a top tier TE? I think Rice's value is great enough to get a trade done like that! Does the Graham or Gronk owner need a guy like Rice? Well, who doesn't NEED him... Maybe a 2nd tier TE like Bennett or V. Davis would go over better? That's what it would take for me to get rid of him. I see your point here.. Btw, nice 12 teamer!!
Don't take the McGahee/Andre Johnson deal for sure... Texans love to run now and Johnson hasn't stayed healthy a full season in a while. It it were me I would ride it out a few more weeks and see if someone emerges on the waiver wire. Has anyone picked up Brandon Gibson, Danny Amedola, or Brandon LaFell yet. They are pretty good options that many overlook.
Rice is the most durable(knock on wood) consistent performers around. I wouldn't trade him very easily. Why not move DMC for a top flight WR straight accross? He had a down week, but some people are still very high on him.
