I just traded Frank Gore for Cam Newton. Was it a mistake?

Okay, for some reason people are telling me that I got ripped off. I did help the other guy a lot because he already has Aaron Rodgers and his RBs were bad.

It's my first season playing fantasy football so I'm wondering if there's something I missed. Maybe it seems bad because Cam's a rookie and Gore is a proven quantity?

What would an equivalent trade be in the NBA? Did I just trade Kobe Bryant for John Wall?

    • Gore sprained his ankle in sunday's game. I don't know if anyone knows that, he says he'll be good to go but just like Beanie Wells, the injury might limit his mobility and explosiveness.

In all seriousness though, it's pretty much an even trade, but looking at the projections over the next 4 weeks, Newton will get about 20+ more fantasy points than Gore.

I'm loving Cam Newton this year, I have Steve Smith as my WR, I got laughed at during the live draft when I took Steve Smith in the 2nd round.

Smith leads the NFL in reception yards and I'm 8-1 in my league and have already clinched a playoff spot while the other teams are sitting at 5 or 6 wins with 2 or 3 losses.

Yup. in my eyes, better trade for you.

    • if its a keeper league ..... u do the right thing man!!!!
