Who to Start Message Board
would you start McCluster as a WR3 or Deion Branch?
the reason I ask is McCluster is an all purpose back with explosion, and playing a Vikings DEfense that gives up receiving yards to RB's, might not be a bad start at WR... as a pure Fantasy POINT debate, do you think he will score more points: totaling rushing yards, and receiving yards combined versus Branch and just his receving yards and maybe a TD?
Who do you think will score more Fantasy points?
I could give you two paragraphs worth of explanations but honestly all I have to say is that Mccluster is on the Chiefs and Branch is on the Patriots. That is reason enough to go with Branch.
At this point in time I would not trust anyone on the Chiefs. Abandon ship. This is not to say drop mccluster, but I wouldn't start him unless he really starts to put up consistently good fantasy points or you just don't have anyone else that good to start over him.
Also, Vikes defense is not that bad. They held the Lions to 0 points in the first half before their typical miserable 2nd half.

valid, but Deion hasnt done much last week... Brady loves his Welker, and it scares me as a branch owner... all Im saying is McCluster is going to get more touches, be it on the ground or even dunk passes in the air, and he is explosive in the open field... would it be wise to start him and hoipe he gets like 6-8 points, which isnt bad for a WR3 or hope Branch goes off for 80 yards or something?
i have him and im starting him. id definitly start him over branch because of the welker/young TEs situation that brady is obsessed with. just not enough touches for him. as for dexter since charles went down hes had about 14 touches per game. if your league is ppr then its an even stronger case for dexter. they check down to him all day since their qb gets constant pressure. Im hoping he has his major breakout week vs min.

Everyone is over valueing mccluster way too much. His main appeal is that he can be plugged in as a wr or rb. I'm not saying hes a skillful player but hes at best the second best weapon on a chiefs team whos season is already all but over. He may have some upside but Deion Branch is by far the better start. I'm sure many experts would agree. You are all basing your answers on last week. Look at the first two weeks as well and look at the matchup this week for the patriots....
