Nothing is definite yet, but imo I don't see him playing this season. From his procedure, recovery can take from three months to two years... and even then there is a chance the nerve damage will still there. The colts are pretty much desperate at this point, Collins is a mess out there. They might even consider bringing Favre or Palmer (which would help more than hurt imo). Hell, or maybe Peyton will retrain his other arm!
Sucks for all that own Reggie Wayne as the QB is the limiting his production.
