I'm in the original posters same situation. I'm in a 1 QB league and nabbed Orton and Brees. Orton has been playing at an extremely high level. Even against an elite defense like the Ravens he's put up ginormous numbers. I think the Jets can bring more effective pleasure and confusion, but especially if Revis is not available, then Orton should be able to stay the course.
I've been playing Brees the whole time and gnashing my teeth about it, especially after losing a contest by 1 point last week. I still think that playing Orton is potentially a mistake this week, although if Orton passes this test, then he's arrived w/o question.
That said, Brees has the added issue of playing with a knee injury and not having 2 of his weapons from last year (Bush and Thomas) available to stretch/distract defenses. I think this is a big reason towards the "drop off" in Brees' production --- although keep in mind, Brees is still pretty damned solid; he's just not an overfiend like he was last year (and who we thought he would be when he was your 1st QB drafted...)
My mind says Brees. This is the week for Orton to fail if he's going to fail.
