Who to Start Message Board
Welcome to Start or Sit For Dummies Week 5 (WR). I am going to tell you who to start or sit. Also, I will name a couple of sleepers. I will try my best to omit the obvious. This will be an open discussion so ask questions and feel free to answer them as I try my best to do the same.
Austin Collie (IND): Some may say, “This is so obvious!” but some of you may have been having second thoughts as Collie barely made pay dirt last week and R. Wayne was a catching machine last week. KC will have to double Wayne so number 17 will have his changes. Also, there is word that P. Garçon will play this week. Nevertheless, Garçon will play in a limited number of snaps so do not fear starting the Collie.
Calvin Johnson (DET): Many of the gurus were ready to throw Calvin J. under the bus last week! "Don’t’ start him!” they said. Start this machine! See the points stack up with this guy.
Percy Harvin (MIN): With Randy coming back to Minnie. Expect P. Harvin to be open often. I do not see him as a big deep threat except on busted plays, but expect 7+ passes, 70+ yards, and maybe a TD or 2 in this game.
Dez Bryant (DAL): This kid is a natural. He is a playmaker. He is a beast. He can beat the defense deep or short. All of Dallas’s receivers are doing well in terms of making big plays, but I expect a touchdown or big yardage from him this week. A great start for PPR leagues.
DeSean Jackson (PHL): This is a huge sit! I do not see him as a deep threat with Kolb under the gun. Sit him and thank me later.
Larry Fitzgerald (ARI): He is a playmaker, but he can only do so much with an unproven QB and no complementally WR on the other side to stop all the attention on being on him. Expect a subpar performance.
Mike Sims-Walker (JAC): This man is poisonous. See if you can trade him if not just drop him.
Louis Murphy (Oak): He is not 100%. I have little faith in him right now. Stash him, but do not start him.
Who should I start as my # 2 WR behind my #1 WR Marques Colston...Mario Manningham, Kevin Walter or Nate Washington? Who should I start as my #2 RB behind my #1 RB Deangelo Williams....Mike Tolbert, Tim Hightower or C.J. Spiller? Also who should I start as my flex from these players?
I am leaning toward Kevin Walter as #2 WR, Mike Tolbert as my #2 RB and C.J. Spiller as flex.
