Who to Start Message Board
I'm not proclaiming myself an expert, but I have had some success in fantasy sports and worked for Rotowire as the Jets beatwriter for a little bit. I'd love to help out anyone that has any lineup decisions.
Simply reply to this thread with your question, and I'll do my best to give you solid advice. I hope everyone's Fantasy Football seasons are off to a terrific start. Also, GO BEARS!!

I got M&M on this one. Marshall faces a Revis-less Jets secondary and has been getting on the same page as QB Henne. This is his breakout week. Moss is clearly McNabb's top target and should have a plethora of chances against StL's defense.
At the flex, I'd go with Tolbert. Why? I think he's safer this week as Addai was limited in practice and the Colts have Donald Brown looming around.
Hope that helps! And if you liked the advice, please rate and give 5 stars.

Hi, Michael! Nice, going for a 3-for-1 deal!
1. I'm actually a Mark Clayton believer because Bradford seems to look for him quite often. But, you have to go with the higher upside in this one. Floyd seems to be developing as the Chargers' go-to guy, much more than his counterpart Naanee. Steve Smith has been relatively quiet, but I say he does some big things this week. Go with Floyd and Smith.
2. I like Clayton in this one. Sims-Walker scored his touchdown in garbage time last week, and really, I've been burned by MSW's inconsistency.
3. I am a Foster-believer, but with Mike Vick at the helm for the Eagles, you have to like McCoy's chances to find some room this week.
4. Addai wasn't 100% during practices, and his team is likely to go pass-heavy. With that being said, Forte faces a staunch GB defense. I like Forte on a Monday Night special! (But I am also a Bears fan and am willing him to do well.)
Hope that helps bro!
Owen Daniels (vs. Dal) or Jermaine Gresham (@ Car)
i'm leaning towards Gresham until Daniels shows he's fully healthy and a bigger part of the offense, but i'm reading a lot about how Daniels is going to be off a snap count and is a solid start.

I've held onto Daniels throughout the first couple weeks as well. He's making progress, and this week is listed as probable. I think it's going to be a shootout in Texas, and this will be the week Daniels steps up his game. It's a gut feeling, but I'd go with Daniels over Gresham this week.
in a TD heavy league.. just lost K.Moreno, which would you start for wk3, Forte or Portis?
Been offered RB LeSean McCoy (my RB's, S.Jackson, M.Forte, B.Jackson, C.Portis, K.Moreno) by someone who has no recv'rs.
here's my WR corp.. G.Jennings, M.Coslton, W.Welker, Dez Bryant, T.O.
I'm willing to trade M.Colston, D.Bryant and T.O... which would you package for L.McCoy?

I feel your pain on losing Knowshon.
Forte v. Portis is a tough one this week. I love what Forte's been doing with Martz's system in Chicago so far, but he faces a tough defense while Portis faces a very favorable matchup against StL. Portis is currently questionable, so I'd keep Forte in as starter until I figure out if Portis is playing for sure or not. If Portis is a go for Sunday, I'd roll with him.
As far as a trade for McCoy, make it happen. Are you gonna package one of your WR with a RB? Maybe something like Jackson/T.O?
chris johnson vs nyg
stephen jackson vs wash
cedric benson vs car
lesean mccoy vs jac
arian foster vs dal
darren mcfadden vs ari
and for my other league pick one:
hightower vs oak
shonn greene vs mia
mike tolbert vs sea

I'm going to guess your first league is a 6 or 8-team league because you are STACKED at RB. You can't ever sit Johnson because he's one spectacular play away from a great day. McCoy has new life with Vick at QB. Stephen Jackson is a premiere back on a sad team. Benson is good, but I am STILL not a believer (I know what does he have to do?) I love Foster, but Houston may opt to pass a lot in this one. Lastly Run DMC has shown life, but I want to see how the carries are split now that Michael Bush is fully active and healthy in Oakland. Go with Johnson, Jackson and McCoy.
In your second league, I'd have to go with Mike Tolbert or Hightower. Hightower now has Beanie Wells coming back to take carries. This is probably the last week he'll see the majority before Wells takes over outright in carries. Tolbert on the other hand has Darren Sproles, but he should get the majority of carries. I like Tolbert in a close one.

Steve Smith should be good to go, and I think he's a must play. Now call me crazy, but I think that there's actually something to think about between Megatron and LFitz. Fitzgerald will be up against Nnamdi Asomugha, who I believe is actually better than Revis of the Jets. I don't like his chances, especially with Andersen still throwing to him.
I may be crazy for advising this, but I see Calvin Johnson as the better play this week. With Best playing well, I see some openings in the passing game for Johnson to score this week.
Hope that helps!
PPR League. I have two running back spots to fill as well as a flex (RB or WR)
LeSean McCoy @ Jacksonville
Tim Hightower vs Oakland
Mike Tolbert @ Seattle
Jamaal Charles vs San Fransisco
I currently have McCoy, Hightower, and Tolbert starting but am having second thoughts about sitting JC...What do you guys think?

I appreciate the question. A lot of people are worried about Jamaal Charles because he's losing significant touches to Thomas Jones. As far as big-play potential, Charles is definitely much more attractive than Tolbert, even if he gets far less touches.
McCoy looked great and with Vick at the helm, he'll have a lot of room to both run and also run after those short passes.
Hightower should be in line for majority of carries again this week, but watch out because Beanie Wells is going to make his debut as well. Coach Whiz has said Wells' carries will be limited, so I'm gonna trust him and say play Hightower.
Tolbert is the safer bet to get majority of the carries that a healthy Matthews would have had, but Sproles will pick up the passing plays most likely.
In the end, it will come down to your gut and some chance. Can JC bust off some big runs against a tough 49ers defense? I'd say he's more of a gamble, but I personally play him over Tolbert. I like high-upside. If you're the safer-bet guy, go with Tolbert.
