Who to Start Message Board
1st year at this, so what do most people use to decide which players to play, the highest projected totals or the match up stars, and how many games does a player have to play before they are given star ratings, example WR Henry and RB Grant
I have been overseas for 6 years Military so 1st year back and having a blast with this Fantasy Football stuff.
sorry if this is wrong forum to ask this question, but the projected totals and Star Match-ups are way different with some players
I use both. You have to consider the player and the matchup and that includes the players around him. If you are following football enough you will see projections you think are high and ones you think are low.
So I guess, if you are following football good, use the matchups (not saying Yahoo matchups) if not, use the projections, they are based on some logic.
I think the best thing to do is watch as many games as possible. There are certain players that are must plays no matter who the defense is. BUT, there are players that I call border players - if the team is playing against a good defense you bench them and put in someone with a better matchup.
Also, you always want to draft and play running backs that do not split time with other backs. You want to pick up players that get the most looks and touches....
