    1400 IP limit and strategy

So I could stream relievers every day, right? Roto league.

My SP is Strasberg, Greinke, *Iwakuma (hurt), Estrada, Haren, Kennedy. It's not enough. I'm gonna waive Kennedy. I'm considering waiving Haren (or trading him). Only got him because Iwakuma is out for a month or two. I have four closers. But I could stream at least two relievers ever day, right, filling two of the P openings with those guys? And never hit 1400 IP, meanwhile getting the occasional, likely solid setup pitcher innings/#s. Would seem that could add up to some difference making stats in the way of Ks, ERA, WHIP, and a win every now and again. Is there any reason I couldn't do that?

    Thanks.

    • Keep Haren. Juat watch for middle relievers and Sps who are under the radar but doing well early in the year and see if you can a couple of those up. If you get this year's Gerrit Cole, or Jose Fernandez, you won't really need to stream all that much.

    • sure that's one strategy.aim to get as close to 1400 innings because you can take a beating in k's.you may get an occasional win with setup guys but other teams will stream sp's according to matchups picking up those valuable wins.when 81 games are done look at your pitching totals and figure out what you need from there.

      • Well, I'm not seeing any deals. And I decided I'm crazy to think about waiving Haren. He had a solid second half and IMO he's a sleeper (in NL .. .and Dodger Stadium).

Kennedy can go. And I probably can waive LaRoche to get myself a 2nd reliever everyday. Hate doing that though ... since my I'm weak at my last UT spot (Leonys Martin/LaRoche/Montero).
