H2H Points League - Scoring Settings - Advice Welcome!

    Hey guys,
I'm the commish for a H2H league in our 5th season. I'm implementing a Points scoring system this year, a la fantasy football. I'm looking for input from managers experienced in these leagues.

    12 teams.
    Here are our positions:
C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

I wanted to make the scoring as balanced -- and interesting -- as possible without complicating things too much.
I'm trying to implement a system that tries to reflect batting average and on-base percentage, so that's why it's -.5 pts per at bat.
And in hopes of evening out the balance between the pitching and batting stats, I found the statistical weekly averages from 2012 for the top 120 hitters (12 teams x 9 position slots + 1 slot for fluctuation) and the weekly averages for the top 72 starting pitchers (12 teams x ~6 SP's), as well as the averages for the top 30 closers.

With the below settings, each team will average about 130.8 pts each week from their hitters and 128.6 pts each week from their pitchers.

Is this balance good? Or should I stagger it a bit more to favor the hitters?
With these settings a 1-4 night with a single and run with resort in 1-point night for that hitter.

What do you think? Thanks in advance!
