DIVISIONS
hey just wondering if anyone can give some feedback on whats some advantages or non advantages to splitting a league into divisions.
thx-
Divisions are the only way to go. It gives you something to play for other than just the championship and creates rivalries.

It doesn't really increase rivalies much. You may play a division opponent 3-4 times instead of 2. The idea should be to get the two best overall teams into the playoffs with as balanced schedule as possible. To do that you need no divisions. Who wants a guy who finishes .500 in a weak division to advance?

Divisions in fantasy simply suck.

I don't like them. Strength of schedule is different for each division.

Does Strength of Schedule really matter though? H2H is random anyway because of the schedule. You play against an assigned opponent and have the second best week but lose because you played the guy that had the best week.
Hopefully the 4 division format only lets the division winners advance or else the division thing is almost useless.

I think it encourages rivalries. If you are in a 16 team league and had them all lumped together, you kind of get lost in the shuffle. But if you had four, four team divisions, it encourages rivalries among a smaller group and gives each team a sense of "I just need to beat this little group" to reach the post season. That is my take on the subject anyway.
