The difference is that in real baseball you can play defense. In H2H fantasy baseball it is just pure luck when it comes to how many points your opponent scores. I don't like to rely on pure luck.

Luck? I think it has to do with how your opponent sets their line-up. In roto you never have to play ball against another team one on one and adjust your line-up accordingly like real baseball.
And how in the world do you "play real defense' in roto? You have defensive stats available in both formats but I hate them in both.
Also luck is part of baseball just as much as in life. It must kill you when almost every year the World Series winner in real life doesn't have the best overall "stats."
Roto is Statball, not baseball. And I enjoy it as such. But i don't think it mirrors real baseball anymore than h2h does and probably a lot less.
