What's NEW for 2013 Yahoo Fantasy Baseball?
Seems that every winter, at least one person 'in the know' leaks what is new for the upcoming season. Well, ....I'm waiting. Ha!
I've asked for an increase from the 5 DL spots and for a setting in the Commissioner's Tools that would lock a player into a team's roster for a minimum of "X' amount of days.
I don't expect to see either of the requests honored. I would be surprised if the request was ever read. The peeps behind the scenes are probably busy trying to come up with something that can be sold to generate dollars like the .... 'Pay us a fee and we will approve or not approve your league's trades'.
That Commish setting thing? That would do away with the streaming problems some leagues face...OR...if your league doesn't mind the streaming, the setting can be set to "1 day". In my leagues, we use a 'Three-Day Rule' that requires an acquired player to appear on that team's roster for 3 days before he can be dropped. Example? Pickup a particular player on Monday, he will first appear on that team's roster on Tuesday. He must appear on the Tues-Wed-Thurs roster for that team. That player can be dropped on Thursday because he will not come off the roster until Friday anyway. The problem is...I have to police the transactions list. On rare occasion, I do find one that slipped by. I return the players to where they came from and the 3 days are restarted.
