Championship Round Extended 3 Days A Joke!! What A Ridiculous Way To End It!!

I'm in the Championship Round in the 2 YAHOO fantasy baseball leagues I'm playing. I took the time to play ALL season. They should have ended the Championship round with a normal week of play like all the other weeks. The extended few days is a joke and unfair since in the last 3 days of the season the teams are either resting the stars for the playoffs or the teams out of it are using the expanded rosters to get some major league exposure for their players. I finished the last full week in 1st place in the championship round in both leagues and will probably lose in both with the additional 3 days since my stars are out of the line up for the reasons listed above. I am not sure about the rest of you but it is for me a sour ending to a long fought effort to win my leagues, get to the championship round and winning in both through Sunday only to lose due to the extended 3 days in which my moves are restricted to those for 7 days over 10 days. I just used my last move in each league today. However, even if I had extra moves it will not matter since a number of teams have the stars out in these last 3 days. They should have ended the season Sunday from a consistency standpoint, to avoid confusion and watering down of the whole season. I had this same problem with YAHOO Fantasy Basketball but managed to win in spite of YAHOO! I HAVE DECIDED AFTER PLAYING FOOTBALL TO STOP PLAYING IN FASTASY YAHOO SPORTS LEAGUES ENTIRELY. I THINK THE REST OF YOU SHOULD BOYCOTT TOO UNTIL THEY MAKE THE CHANGES TO ENSURE A FAIR ENDING TO A LONG SEASON!! FRUSTRATED FANTASY PLAYER!!

    • They advertised the ten day championship months ago. It is more fair than a 7 day.
10 days is twice thru a rotation and leaves less to chance. You need to take a chill pill and stop your #$%$ whining over yahoo leagues. Head to head leagues are the kindergarten of fantasy baseball, next year try a big boy league.

      • You're an IDIOT!! Sounds like your a last place team!!

      • What is the excuse for the NBA fantasy league. They need to end the leagues sooner, one week before the end of the actual season, to avoid these situations. I knew of the extended play in the Championship round. They have been doing it a long time. That is not the problem but rather the watering down of the product. They can do 2 weeks for the Championship round, I don't care. That is not my point, but rather to avoid having the star players on the bench at the end of the season which is what happened in the NBA fantasy league too. I am only making suggestions to improve a fun product SO THE SEASON ENDS WITH ALL HANDS ON DECK. I could care less how long the Championship round is or the number of player moves allowed each week since they do tell you that at the start of the season. I've played before. I not sure what the big boy leagues are and that all of us in the head to head leagues are in kindergarten. I play for the fun of it and would like the product improved. I'd like to know what the other leagues are since they may be more fun. Always appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks so much.

    • In the same boat. I may or may not win but you don't even know who is going to play until its too late. Football should end week 16 also. I am 14-7 and many stats can be swung either way yet. Guy picked up 14 or so pitchers off the waiver wire and all of them have won or got qs. Good and lucky I would say. If this thing ended Sunday I would have won by a landslide. I feel screwed over even if I win. If this was a keeper league I would be really po'ed. Dropping guys you would never drop just to win something you should have already rightfully have won,

      • Agree totally, good luck. We can only pick up a max of 5 in 1 league and 6 in the Public league so it makes it difficult to plan ahead for 7 days much less a 10 day week. I had 4 guys in each league out last night and today my pitcher Galardo decided he did not want to start his scheduled start. It is such a joke the last week of the season in all the sports. Obviously typical YAHOO management and designers must not play in their own leagues so they do not know the end of season problems or they don't care. Like the baseball card industry, greed and not taking care of the customer will eventually ruin a good thing. Most people walk away and the lost customers do not come back. When they wake up it will be too late. I am stopping basketball this year, won't waste my time on baseball again next year and after football I will be done with anything involving YAHOO fantasy leagues until they listen to the users/customers who try to improve this fun pasttime.

    • I quit football a few years ago for that exact reason. Had 8 leagues, I dominated 5 leagues, had 1 team in 1st, and 1 team in 2nd place. I won a total of ZERO titles because all my studs were on the bench in the last 2 weeks of the season. It doesnt matter how good you are, it only matters whether or not your players play..

The 10 day playoff in baseball is no big deal.

    • how did you handle the 3 day all star week?

      • Well even with having to deal with the extended 3 day joke, in the end I was able to win both leagues, one a public league championship round win with a 5-4-1 result. The other a private points league finishing 559-559 and winning it by the tie breaker rules. So it worked out in the end anyway. However, I still DO NOT like the way they end the championship where you are unable to have all hands on deck playing for your teams, especially since they got you there in the prior 24 weeks.
