  • I'm in a head-to-head roto league and two league members had a fairly substantial sidebet on which one of their teams would end the season with the best record. Long story short, they played each other in the 2nd to last week of the regular season with the bet on the line. Team A won the matchup 6-5 (they tied one category) and he took ERA by posting a 3.13 to best his opponent's 3.20. Team A started Jason Vargas on August 29th. On September 10th, after Team A had been awarded the win, Yahoo posted a stat correction charging Vargas with one more earned run in his August 29th start. That additional ER would have bumped Team A's weekly ERA to 3.22, and therefore, given the week (and the large sidebet) to Team B. To summarize: Team A has a valid argument that they "won" the week. Team B has an equally valid argument that they actually "won" the week when all statistics were properly accounted for. So what controls here? I'm really struggling with how to resolve this dispute.
