Commissioner Corner Message Board
I'm looking to replace two managers in my 5th year 12 team keeper league on ESPN. We keep 8 players from year to year. The stats are bit more robust than your standard 5x5 league but it makes things more challenging and IMO a bit more fun. The league is highly competitive and until these two managers everyone is active. There is some nice talent on both teams, definitely players to build towards a better future. One of the teams is only a few games out of a playoff spot, while the other is completely out of it so you would be inheriting a rebuilding project. Here's a few players from each team-
Theres some serious thunder on this squad (mostly in the OF) but the pitching seems to be lacking after lee. The team is currently sitting in 11th place 18.5 games out of the last playoff spot and just got crushed this week so while it has some really nice talent its chances of making the playoffs are pretty much dead.
This team has a pretty decent overall pitching staff with some good setup men and closers with an ok offense. The team is currently in 8th place 7 games back of the last playoff spot but managed to win this week despite the dead owner so with a good manager and a few moves or FA pickups this team can make a serious run for that last playoff spot.
I'm only looking for people who will be in it for the long haul and are willing to build up these teams. You must be active and stay on top of the team, theres nothing worse than losing out on a playoff spot to another team because he was able to face an inactive team down the stretch. The NL club offers a nice young core to build around for years to come while the AL team also has a good mix of talent but also the opportunity to sneak into the playoffs this year and make some noise. If you are interested email me at email@example.com and let me know which team you would want. The teams are available on a first come first served basis so if you are interested in a particular team email me ASAP as i cant guarantee the team you want is going to be available if someone comes along before you. The trade deadline is this upcoming Friday August 17th so any incoming manager would have until then to make trades to improve their team either for this year or for future seasons.
