I wouldn't do the trade.

Closers are shaky, especially the ones with bad history.
For closers, possession is the key, and just look at this year, how many closer changes have already happened?
SPs are more reliable, and ace like Tim is far more valuable than RPs.
He is doing terrible now, but don't sell on a heavy discount.

Most years I'd be against this deal, but not terrible deal this season, especially if you have other decent starters.

i don't think its a bad trade. Lynn is pitching fine.

Rps give you states in one category for the most part. Starters give you stats in 4. I would not give up a possible ace for a closer and an unproven for a season P.

Lincecum is safer; has solid history.
