What would you expect a good commissioner to do if that deal was made in a standard mixed league?

I totally realize this is a one-sided deal. I'm most interested in the ideas of what you all would "expect" the commissioner of your league to do if this happened. I set this league up without voting on every trade because I'm not a fan of either the 3 day waiting period or allowing "league owner votes" to determine things of this nature on a regular basis. This particular deal did go through, I did reverse it, and expectedly, the two teams involved are blowing a gasket. One with idle threats and the other stating they would never again be in a league that I was the commissioner of. To me this was an absolute no brainer and I would do it again to protect the integrity of the league. But I did want to get the opinions of all of you just to see if I'm still on the pulse of fantasy baseball or if I've lost a step.

A good commissioner should get on the phone with the team trading away Pujols, try to talk some sense into him, and then let the trade go through.
Actually, a good one wouldn't let that idiot in in the first place, but once he's in, you gotta let him manage.- View Replies

No, Jake. You don't allow that bad a trade to just "let them manage." Either Albert's owner is dullest knife in all the drawers on earth or he is in collusion with the Rodney guy.
Either way you have to protect the rest of the league from the Rodney guy grabbing Mr Albert and running away with the league. A commish has to make it fair for all the players in the league to stop totally suspicious trades.
