There is still 2 months until the season starts...No need to be in a rush.
Anyone who drafts in a serious league more than 2 weeks away from opening day is an idiot.
Just last season Spring Training injuries included: Adam Wainwright, Adrian Beltre, Zach Greinke, Chase Utley.
Before that, Joe Nathan, Jose Reyes, Josh Hamilton, Jair Jurrjens, Shane Victorino, Brandon Webb, Alex Gordon, Russ Martin, Arod, Joe Mauer and so on.
Smart managers wait until opening day rosters are pretty much set and you know which players will actually play.
How about a keeper league that restricts movement during the season. Don't you think that guys like us are itchin to get control of our teams to cash in on unrestricted pre season moves and trades?
My league is going into year 14 this year. 20 teams...all returning.
Have fun in your new league that drafts 3 days before the season and is full of people you don't know...
I can't wait to pour through the list of players. There actually are exciting things about Yahoo! opening up:
- Which minor leaguers have been added?
- Where are certain guys slotted deeper in the list of players?
- Fantasy baseball is back
If you're bothering to post on a fantasy baseball site in early February you should be on board with this and not hating.

Maybe the 25 man rosters aren't set, but a halfway educated guess could probably name 23-24 players that are going to make each team.
Unless you are playing in an extremely shallow league, who the second utility infielder, the 5th outfielder or the final reliever on a team is really won't have much bearing on who gets drafted.
