Commissioner Corner Message Board
got someone to give me:
C. Kershaw: P
D. Wright: 3B
D. Uggla: 2B
A. Cabrera: SS
R. Romero: P
A. Ramirez: 3B
D. Pedroia: 2B
D. Jeter: SS
C. Rasmus: OF
and I NEEDED to execute a 2-1 or something along those lines b/c of players coming off the DL...this freed up my roster, which was JUST what the doctor ordered....Jeter is on his way down, it's becoming obvious, and Cabrera gives me the lift in RBIs and HRs, I desperately needed...I already have AVG and OBP strength but have seriously been lacking in RBI's and HR's....Kershaw is a stud and Wright will be off the DL in a week....Romero and Ramirez and Rasmus is a DEAL....Uggla for Pedroia isn't a favorable trade other than Uggla has to start coming around and Pedroia isn't on fire either...Again, he gives me more potential in HRs and RBIs than Pedroia and I still have Ichiro, Stubbs, Butler, Napoli, Mauer, who (for their respective positions) hit for strong AVGs and steal bases and score runs....never made such a favorable trade!
Someone dumped Uggla on you??? LOLOL. 4 for 40 last 14 days and that was just 4 singles. .175 for the year and now not playing every day and moved way down in the order. Every Uggla owner looking to unload him but getting very few takers. Good luck. And you think Wright is coming back soon....
Uggla is the streakiest player in baseball, he will have 6 consecutive 0-fers and you'll bench him and he'll hit 2 HR's and 6 RBI's that day he's benched.
Wright is always hurt.
Romero is just as good as Kershaw, just in a far better division for a fantasy pitcher.
The only upgrade your getting in Asdrubal, and he's nothing super special (although he could be in the next couple years, I see him more of an Orlando Cabrera type guy over his career, always good, never great)
Yeah, this trade is actually closer than you might think. But you win. You are probably getting the 2 best players in the trade - Kershaw and Wright, but I have my doubts with Wright... and Uggla stinks. And there is no way Asdrubal keeps up his current numbers. You bought him high and there is no way he can keep performing at that level. The guy has never hit more than 8 HRs in a season at any level. And I'm a Tribe fan...
