Drafts in Feb

I have never understood why some of you insist on having drafts in February. Have you considered that spring training is what the real general managers and field managers use to set their rosters. Why do any of you think you should have the drafts before spring training begins.

  umm, because its fantasy...and we're mostly baseball freaks bored off our ashes and don't really care that a real life GM hasn't decided which no-name guy to plug into 2nd base for the Royals. But mostly because its fantasy and in the big scheme of life, not a difference maker if I hold a draft in Feb.
