    Suggestions for New Keeper League

Durf - we use the K.I.S.S. method... Keep It Simple Stupid. We are allowed 5 keepers that have to be declared 2 weeks BEFORE the following season's draft. You can choose from ANY player that was on your roster at the end of last season. We do not allow off season trades, FA pickups, etc. (again KISS). We do not bother with slotting the keepers in particular rounds of the draft. The commish assigns them and they're the first players your team drafts the following year. If we have a new manager, he is required to choose from the team's roster that he took over from the previous season. We also have a 14 team H2H league.
    Good luck! Damon

    • This is a fairly simple method that has alot of upside. messing around with slotting keepers in the round they were drafted is cumbersome.
We started with 5 keepers, move it up by 1 last year, and 1 more this year. All keepers are put into the last rounds of the draft for us.
Ditto on using the final rosters as the keeper pool. Ditto on a new manager using the final roster of team he is taking over.
We will be using a point system to limit how long a team can keep a player, but that's really simple as well.

    • Thanks Damon, I have a feeling this is exactly what most of my managers will vote for when I lay out some choices for the league.
