    It's possible that team A had a better winning percentage, but finished below team B.

    Example:
    If both teams have a winning percentage above .600....
    Due to ties, team B could have 6 more wins AND 4 more losses than team A. Team B is ahead by 1 game, but team B has LOWER winning percentage.

    If you could post a link to your league, or copy and paste the standings into here, i could figure out what happened.
