Trading Draft Picks..!!

There is a league vote in my keeper league about allowing managers to trade draft picks in next years draft.
I am against it personally but i would like input about the possible risk/reward involved before i make a decsion and submit a vote.
If anyone has any insight or experience about trading draft picks i would be very grateful.

  in my keeper league we are looking at the same possibilty, on the condition that there be an equal amount of picks going each way.
  
  for instance, a deal could be longoria and a 9th rd'er for ibanez and 2nd.
  
  this way the roster sizes stay equal
