  • Trying to stop a streamer

We have one owner who drafts all hitting every year in our H2H league, streams his way into the playoffs, and then streams to a trophy. Opposing owners are unwilling to counter-stream, or don't want to, or whatever.

We've already gone to 7X7 adding walks and QS as pitchingcategories.

The league does not want to limit the number of weekly transactions. Several owners like to screw around with the end of their bench almost daily.

Other than limiting weekly transactions, what's our best way to cramp the streamer's style?

Also, is there a way to cut transactions to, say, zero after August 15th?

You could look at a longer waiting period before added players are eligible, or limit the number of starting pitching slots. Adding a "loss" category would make it harder to do well. Players that stream are using free agents which nobody else has rostered, so they are not getting the best. He must be quite good at his method to keep doing well. I have tried it, and it killed my ERA.

just beat them. streaming is hardly a perfect science. it loses you 2 categories and wins you 2 categories. Win 4 of the remaining 6 or at least 3 and the tie-breaker.

Nothing's stopping you from finding another league.

Seems like you either can set a limit of moves per week (agreed by the league, enough to stop him, but they get to make their moves too).

Or figure that number per week out, and set a max moves for the year, and this guy will probably use his up by the time playoffs come and be screwed.

Like someone else said, it isn't a perfect science, this guy has been lucky to get away with it without getting burned. Streaming can definitely mess up your numbers.
