Commissioner Corner Message Board
I'm looking for an owner that wants to play ALL YEAR LONG including making trades during the winter. It is a 6 team keeper league. Protect as many as want up to 25 players for as long as you want. It costs $20 to play. 1st place gets $60, 2nd gets $40, and 3rd gets $20. 30 catagories.
Hitting Catagories: R,1B,2B,3B,HR,RBI,SB,CS,BB,HBP,K.GIDP,E,AVG,OPS
Males (and females too) can apply but you must want to play all year long. If your team is not doing well and you decide not to play anymore, don't even bother applying. Applicants can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the e-mail please state your name, age, how long you have been fantasy baseball and why you would be good for my league. Looking forward to hearing from all of you baseball fans.
You're going to have better luck if you pare down the categories. While a standard 5x5 League; (AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB - ERA, WHIP, W, K, SV) ...is the "industry standard", you can get away with adding "Bonus Categories" amongst your 6x6 or 7x7 League scoring categories.
I run an 8x8 League because I've known these guys since Junior High School. We've pared from a 10x10 League and it focuses our discipline. I've cried for 5x5, but our League remains friendly. We need "outside categories" to make bonuses strong and weak teams "eligible". I accept it but 5x5 is STILL the "industry standard".
15x15 is ridiculous. While I understand the inclusion, I miss the skill. You might as well throw darts at a board with your ass as far as I'm concerned.
While an idiot has a chance, another well-conceived manager has to compete against idiots.
-I'd call that a conundrum.
