Cruz said he felt better than he did Sunday, but he still feels pain when he makes contact with a pitch. "Maybe tomorrow," Cruz said. "Right now, I cannot grab a bat well because it's so swollen." Teammate Michael Young suffered a similar injury last year and warned Cruz that the pain will not go away anytime soon. Young's batting average dropped off after his injury last year, so we'll keep a careful eye on Cruz to see if this injury becomes a long-term problem.
