I think you were very justified in taking the vetoing power. Just because a trade benefits a team, some other players in the league like to veto it becuase their team is not improving. This is absolutly not what the veto was meant for, it is meant to make sure that trades are not LARGELY unbalanced and to prevent cheating in the league. If both managers involved in a trade thinks that it is a good trade for them, then let the trade go through. With that being said, your going to have to walk a fine line with the vetoing power, especially in cases where you veto it. I would consult with players in the league before making any decision to veto a trade by yourself.
I agree. My position is that I'm not going to ever veto a trade unless:
A) several other owners complain about it, and they make a good point. In which case I will bring it up in the comments.
B) Obvious collusion.
I've explained this to them already. I told them if they can't make a reasonable argument to me why a trade should be vetoed, then it shouldn't be vetoed.
