problem with my league, help me out
ok so there were 2 teams in my h2h league that were trying to trade lincecum and bourn for ichiro, joba and heath bell
it has been vetoed 2 times by the managers in my league and now one manager says he has now just given up and stopped looking at his team all together. what can i do to get him to stick around? im not changing the rules for him and if the people in my league want to vote against the trade then thy can.-
the owners in your league are jacka**es

I agree never change rules after season has started but my earlier post asked a few questions and answering those might help with the quitting manager whom I assume is in first place. But after talking to him doesn't work then let him go.

Forget it .... let his team drown if he's really not paying attention thats his own fault and most likely everyone will benefit because of it. If he wants to throw a temper tantrum so be it. If your doing a league every year just wait until next year and talk to him about how you would like if he would still be a part of your league but have a backup person to go in if he doesn't want to.
The biggest thing about being a commissioner is not compromising the integrity of your league.- 1 Reply to B 80

yeah im not changing the rules. i didn't vote against it but every other manager did.

i think the problem is more about people vetoing trades that shouldn't be vetoed. unless there is clear cheating or it extremely lopsided people shouldn't be vetoing. This happened in one of my leagues a few years ago and the commish simply posted a message explaining what vetos should be used for and if the manager doesn't feel the criteria are there then they should let trades "go through." it's hard enough to get trades and have an active league.

I also agree with the other statement that the problem is also people vetoing trades. If you feel like you have a good understanding of what is a fair trade and what isn't then take control of your own league and change the settings so that only you review trades and can veto them, but again you have to be fair about it or your going to have a lot of people pissed off at you for letting bogus trades go through.

the guy that says he is quitting is in 1st and the guy he is trading with is in last

Why was the trade vetoed? Who was getting whom? What do the 2 teams look like? Did the other managers veto just because 1 team was in first? A lot of unanswered questions here. It's still early in the season and a lot of things can happen to players etc.. What looks like a good trade for the first place team now this early can look like better trade for last place team later on. You get what I'm saying?
