Commissioner Corner Message Board
One more factor to consider is this. I own Hanley Ramirez too. My pitching staff is strong, but here's my hitters:
C - Posada (C)
1B - Pena (1B)
2B - Utley (2B)
3B - Atkins (1B,3B)
SS - H. Ramirez (SS)
OF - Dunn (1B,OF)
OF - BJ Upton (OF)
OF - Pence (OF)
Util - C. Young (OF)
Util - Thome (Util)
Util - Bonifacio (2B,3B)
Bench - Daniel Murphy (OF)
If I make this trade I would most likely move Dunn to 1B, possibly Atkins. Any idea if I should try to parlay Rollins into a strong 3B or OF?

You'd be fine either keeping Rollins at Util or, as you said, trying to obtain an upgrade at 3B or OF (or even both). Rollins is a pretty good trading chip, so I would think you could get some good stuff for him. Actually, you could get a 3B and/or ANY position, as you could just move C Young to the OF and have the open utility spot, allowing for a bit more trade/pickup flexibility.
Assuming a regular 5x5 league, you should do that without question. Rollins is proven and a 1st-2nd round pick (and probably the 3rd best SS fantasy-wise), Pena is good only for power, and you can probably find a host of similar guys on FA (eg - Burrell, Thome, Giambi, etc), and Bonafacio, while he may end up having an amazing year, is still an unknown quantity. Plus you gain a roster spot, which is almost always useful. Your biggest worry is that it might get vetoed for not paying enough for Rollins. Worst case scenario (barring injuries or Rollins somehow imploding) is that it is a wash. Best case scenario is that Bonafacio cools off and you got rid of an undrafted prospect for someoen's 1st or 2nd draft pick.
