    Yes it's possible.

    If you enter the game down 1 run, then register 1 out and then give up 2 base runners but still exit the game with your team in the lead, you still get the Hold while responsible for the 2 base-runners.

    Enter another RP who gives up a 3-run Homerun. You take the loss because your baserunner was the winning run, but you get the Hold because you exited with a lead.

    • this could be possible, but it wasnt the case. shields entered in a tied game. he didnt give up any runs. speier got the loss, not shields anyway. the angels need to put speier in the minors. his era is about 5.20 and he is 1-7 this season.
