Commissioner Corner Message Board
Utley: .303, 15 HR, 36 RBI, 38 R, 4 SB, 22 BB
Uggla: ..320, 16 HR, 36 RBI, 38 R, 2 SB, 22 BB
Their numbers are very similar. Even their last names both being w/ "U" (how many people do you know have a last name w/ U?). How's that for similar?
I guess you have to ask who is more valuable to their team? At this point, I would say Uggla in terms of taking a team on his back and playing in a lesser lineup. He's been Mr. Clutch and is one huge reason why the Marlins are playing as well as they are. Utley is great (and still the better player), but his lineup of Howard, Rollins, Burrell, et al is ridiculous.
