Please Help me! I am in last and don't now how. Tell me why,
Emil Brown will get you runs and RBI's, especially with runners in scoring position. JD Drew is hot and cold. Soria is great, but save opportunitys don't come too often. Cano is slumping badly, try to replace him for now but keep him if you want until he comes around. Pitching is pretty good. Work the wire for your hitters.
A lot of it depends on your league settings... Garret Anderson should be in your starting line-up as long as he's healthy... I would trade one of your stars along with a hot starter (eg: Xavier Nady) and try to get a solid package back in return... look to trade with other bottom feeders who may be frustrated, or people with stacked positions and glaring weaknesses that you can fill for them.
Your hitting spots have a few holes in them for now as does possibly your pitching.
However in the next 2-3 weeks if you just stick with the lineup you have you will climb out of the cellar because alot of your players have great upside to them. (IE - Cano, Man Ram, Granderson and Alou)
I would try to pick up a catcher like Napoli or Bengie Molina to play over Doutmit but I love the Pudge Rodriguez acquistion. NIck Swisher at 1B for the whole year is not the best option. Definitely play Garrett Anderson ALOT more too and see if Brad Hawpe can be picked up too. Lose Cantu at CI and see if maybe you can pick up Mike Lowell or Scott Rolen off of waivers. Try to get Melvin Mora also off of waivers....he is heating up the last two weeks. Pitching wise, try to get Bannister, Dave Eveland, Looper or Ted Lilly off waivers. Ted Lilly looks to be getting extremely hot over his last 3 starts too and you can expect All-Star numbers from him form here on out.
