Commissioner Corner Message Board
Upton will give you a consistant average around low .3 and will steal more bases for you. he also possesses a little more power than people think. i watched him when he played single A. and he was domination. i about picked him up but my of. is already set.
Upton probably has the bests odds of contributing for both power and speed, so if you need both this categories he's probably got the most upside. But there is still a fair amount of risk with him.
Gomez has the most capability in terms of steals and would be a good pick up, but again isn't a sure thing to produce.
Diaz from Atlanta?
Upton would be my choice...
Diaz, J. Upton or Gomez??
If it's a keeper league, Upton. If it's not a keeper league, I'd go with Diaz just for the consistant bat. Upton could blossom at any time, but I'd temper my expectations for this year. Gomez could be good, put personally I don't trust him yet and would want to see him get a few weeks of at bats before I made a decision.
