Commissioner Corner Message Board
As people can probably tell from the way drafts in standard leagues end, one can easily draft potential all-stars in the last rounds. That doesn't take much skill, and luck is too great of a factor in determining the final winner. So I decided to create a 20 team league, which means knowledge of the game will be a major factor in deciding the winner. Anyone who wants to join to be a part of this league, including what should be a very exciting draft (scheduled for 11 AM, Satuday, March 15), please leave your e-mail here. There is currently room for about 14-15 more teams, on a first come, first serve basis. Only people who intend to be active need apply.
Draft pick trading has been enabled to allow people the chance a more complex drafting strategy. With a snake-style 20 team draft, getting the first few picks won't necessarily be an advantage. Draft order will be randomized when enough people join the league.
Each team will be allowed to start 11 hitters: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, OF, INF, and UTI. Each team will be allowed to start 5 starters and 6 relievers. This, combined with the 3 bench players, means each team will have a total of 25 players, including 13-14 hitters and 11-12 pitchers, just like in real life.
Here's the league for anyone who wants to take a look:
