some players are added to the FA list as they come closer to playing. Some are not even added until they are called up to the big leagues, causing a stampede to get them (see Braun last year). Most likely the japanese players will not be added until just before or after they play their first game.
prior I believe is in San Diego, why you would care I don't know, unless it's an NL only or deep league.
