    Urgent help needed!

    PG: Kemba, Conley, Westbrook, Lowry
    SG: Wade, Manu
    SF: Melo, Pierce
    PF: Faried, ADavis, Zbo
    C: DLee, Chandler

My league's been playing for 10 weeks already from week 7 to now. And here are my records in our 9 cat H2H league. Including this week... (the shortened one...)

    FG% 2-8-0
    FT% 2-8-0
    3PTM 5-3-2
    POINTS 8-2-0
    REBOUNDS 8-1-1
    ASSISTS 9-1-0
    STLS 9-1-0
    BLOCKS 5-5-0
    TURNOVERS 1-9-0

Any players I should trade away or drop? And who are some players I can try aiming for? I'm currently 3rd place in the league, 6 1/2 games behind the leader and 1/2 game behind the 2nd placer. 1/2 game ahead of the 4th placer though. Had a rough All-Star shortened week.

Notable FA's: Danny Green, Okafor, Kawhi Leonard, Bynum, Pau Gasol, Bradley Beal, Javale Mcgee, Derrick Favors, Jason Kidd, MKG, Billups

    • Really nice team! 1)with this roster I'd punt on TO's(unless your 1-9 but close most weeks to winning that cat). 2)as I see your team Manu and Kemba are the only 2 i'd consider dropping with Manu being #1. He's been hurt so much on/off and you know Spurs are going to rest him(DNP's or less PT) until playoffs. With your other 3 G's and Melo and pierce you've got alot of 3's,pts and FT%. Kemba is probably dropping your FG%,like melo & westbrook, but they're keepers. To win in playoffs you know only 5 cat's are needed so I'd concentrate on someone who can give you 3's,blocks and improve your FT and FG%'s and lessen TO's. I love leonard's upside with Spurs resting their big 3 alot plus S.Jackson's been injured some too. He can give you 3's,blocks,steals and shooting %'s. I missed adding him by a couple of hours 2 weeks ago and regret not adding sooner. He's just good across many cat's. 3) As for Walker he may be dropable for McGee,favors or okafur. I just added favors last week taking a chance that Jefferson/Milsap will be traded. If one is ,favors would be a must own for blocks, steals,RB's and good FG%(not too bad at FT%). Depends on whether you can wait until trade deadline or not. McGee has been coming on more lately but is in PT share with Koufus. But I would look up his game log and see what he's been doing lately where PT goes. Like Okafur but how long will Wizard's keep rolling him out there before giving their younger talent a look. I'd check his game log too to see how his recent PT has been going. Only other mentioned player I'd look at is D.Green who will definitely give you 3's but not much else. If you just want a 3's specialist only, with limited other cat's contributions,Green is your man. Hope this helped some and good luck!!!!

      • 1) i pretty much have punted to's at this point because of westbrook, wade, etc. 2) right now, i'm trying to shop manu and see what i can get. i actually proposed a manu-zbo for jr smith-bosh deal and i hope it gets accepted. i've actually been kind of happy with the way kemba has been producing but he's not that consistent but has been a good source of stls and other stats for me. so should i drop manu for kawhi if i really can't trade him? 3) yeah i'm thinking of adding favors too, but it seems like i lose a bit of value there if i drop kemba for him. and i do already have 5 power forward-eligible players. Sadly, someone added Danny Green, so i can't get him anymore. Thanks!!!

      • u should package Melo,Manu and Wade for Lebron and a decent 3pt sg and a center high in blocks

    • By the way any opinions you could add to my Big man question would be appreciated!

    • Gabe: Getting back to you! I'll fill you in on something first. I'm a retired PE teacher of special needs kids who had to stop working at 59 due to a disk disability in back. Didn't want to stop but had to and also had to give up things like golf, running, etc. So I turned to fantasy sports to have sort of hobby to compete in to replace the competivness of real sports. So i have alittle extra time to research stuff more than the regular fantasy player who has work and family to deal with. So I'm glad to be of help when guy's/gal's like you ask for some help. I do pretty well in fantasy baseball, football and BB mostly because i have the extra time to spend on it. JR vs.Mayo 1)JR. According to ESPN player rater sight for last 30 days JR has an over rating of 2.08 and last 15 days of 4.41. For comparison N.Robinson is about a rating of 7.95. JR has been a minus in FG%,FT%,Blocks and for the year is avg. 1.5 TO's a game. He's at about 34% at 3 pts. made. Obviuosly he will give you more 3's than Mayo by a wide margin solely based on alot more opportunities. 2) Mayo's rating for 30 days is 6.00 and for last 15 days it's 7.40. His only minus is in blocks. 3 pt. made % is 42% but shoots less of them. Lot's of steals, dimes but only otherbad stat, compared to JR,is he avgs. 2.8 TO's a game. But you must factor in he handles the ball alot more than JR and has more PT. Is a 85% FT shooter and JR is at 77%. Two other things to add if you don't know them 1) Mayo is coming off an injury and is listed as day to day. He might be good to gonow but I would investigate that 2) According to stuff I read recently and from an interview with Dirk Nowis. Coach Carlisle has been riding Mayo and collison to step up on their intensity and play harder on both ends. Dirk said it seemed to be paying off just before ASB. Thought you'd like to know that. So if it was me and I felt I could get along without ZBO and A.Davis I'd go for the Mayo/Ibaka trade. You'll be improving you 3's some, definitely blocks, your FT%,your FG % some, won't be hurting to replace points lost, get more steals and you won't have to worry about Mayo's TO's because your basically punting those at 1-9. Not sure how your RB's will be effected with loss of both Zbo and davis. Ibaka grab's alot, and Mayo not many. But if you've been way ahead each week in RB's then a minor hit will be fineseeing what else your gaining. Good luck Gabe and let me know 1) how it works out and 2) if you need more help.

      • Whoa, it's good knowing people like you still exist in this world. :) Anyways, I don't think that Ibaka/OJ deal would push through, though I would love it if it did. Thanks for all the input. I'm really interested in Mayo because he's been the Mavs 1st option as Dirk isn't fully 100% yet. But even with Dirk, that helps OJ's assists. So back to the Zbo-Manu for JR-Bosh deal. He counter-offered me with me giving him WADE-ZBO and getting RUDYGAY-BOSH. It seems like an decent deal, but I can't give Wade up because I only have 2 SG-eligible players and it seems like I'm giving a bit too much up.

Here's his roster: Teague, Lin, Al Jeff, Brook, Redick, Ilyasova, Gay, Bosh, Josh Smith, Dirk, Gerald Wallace, Granger, JR Smith.

      • By the way if you could express your opinionon this I'd appreciate the advice! I've been using Bledsoe and N.Robinson as temporary adds until Paul was healthy and Rose/Hinrich situation worked itself out for Bulls. Paul is back seemingly healthy but I'm holding Bledsoe to see how trade deadline will go. Don't think he'll go anywhere but if Idrop him now I know somehow he'll be traded, that's my usual luck. FA's are: Hayward(slightly injured and only 28 games left),J.Green(30 games left),N.Young(31 games left)? I'll be needing in order blocks,3's,FT% and steals to replace bledsoe's cat's. I've been told J.Green fits my needs the most ! Plus he'll be seeing alot of PT but so will N.Young but he's more of a steals,3's decent FT% type of player. Really like Hayward, and he's ready to come back plus he good across all stats, but I worry about his injury and he has 2-3 less games than the other 2. Thoughts on that? On Nate just read, while looking up your stats, than Hinrich will move back to PG and nate to bench. Going to see how PT play's out,as Bulls have 4 games this week, then make a move. Sort of a catch-22 here because hinrich is so injury prone and Nate is not as potent off the bench. Any thought on holding/dropping Nate would be a help. Thanks

    • i dont think its a BAD trade... but he's not a blocking machine and ur giving away a lot of points for LBJ... but this trade might help ur fg% so check it out

      • And Manu's actually been pretty decent his past few games, so I might not actually drop him after all. But I'm thinking about it.

      • Wasn't able to push through. He values LBJ too much, but that's fine. I did the (receiving) Batum-Holiday-Pekovic for (giving) Kemba-Pierce-DLee. So I hope that helps my team. Thoughts?

      • Gabe: I wrote you a detailed message on ZBO/Wade trade but I'm not sure it got accepted. So here's a cliffnote version with something relevent you might/might not know.1) relevent 1st. Miami and Memphis 2 of 6 teams with the absolute BEST PLAYOFF schedule in fantasy BB. This guy might be playing you,or not, by knowing that. Thought you should know that!!!! 2) Reassessing your roster with your players now you might be ok with 3's. Kemba looked good last night albeit vs. Magic. And you have alot of 3 pt. shooters. 3) I might be crazy, or a stupid fantasy player, but I'd have 2nd thoughts about giving up Wade! I own Paul and players like him,Harden,Durant LJ and even Kobe(when he put's his mind to it) are just all cat's kinda players. 4) ZBO vs. Bosh is a trade off, both with strengths/weaknesses. Bosh might give you a few more blocks whereas Zbo more RB's/better FG%. 5) Gabe I'd hold my players and maybe look at dropping Ginolbli for an average Big Man with blocks/steals potential. Favors(if trade gives him starting gig),Valanucius,J.O'Neal(look up his recent play),T.gibson(even with only 20 min.PT and especially if a Boozer trade happens. I'm grabbing him if that happens),etc. Just a suggestion you might want to explore without giving up pieces of your core group that's gotten you this far. I see it as "why give up what's a really good team for MAYBE imroving in one cat, possibly 2). Hope that makes sense, thanks for the guard input and get back to me!!

      • Gabe: Now this is more like it for a trade. The Faried/Zbo trade wasn't bad but I think you'd be losing more RB's and I hate the thought of losing Faried(just love that guy's all out motor. Makes alot of good things happen for himself/teammate). Lee and kemba 's teams are on the list of worst records remaining (GS on worst playoff record list). Chandler on best in both cases. Pek and Holiday on best of both too. I own Pek and he's very steady. Good FG%,above avg.FT%,RB's,some blocks and steals too. Holiday,as you know an All star,so nothing needs to be said about him.Asik RB's/Blocks,FG% and some pts. too. I worry about Batum's wrist(FG% has been down) but can't deny what kind of all around player he is. Gabe the way I see it is: Pierce vs. Batum-even,Holiday way over kemba,Pek vs. Lee fairly even but Pek get's more blks. & steals and then asik vs. Chandler. Haven't watched Asik very much and he and chandler play opposite type offenses( Hous highoctane and knick half court). I'd say this is about even but I'd check their blks,FT% and TO's before making a move. 1) Word out last night that Wolves would like to move Pek(due to upcoming contract) but nothing yet and Pierce can be moved(not likely) for right offer. 2) Your getting more Blks. and 3's without sacrificing RB's.Points will be about even. Best of all you get 2 players with best playoff schedule while losing only Chandler's. Looks good to me and if you have time to looks up those stats on Asik vs. Chandler i'd do that before pushing the GO button. Good luck, man! Let me know,OK!

    • Just a follow up! If you make trade you'll have Melo,Conley,Wade,Zbo,Pek,Holiday for the best playoff schedule while losing Chandler to the best schedule. Do your playoffs start march 18th like me? If so I can look up the schedules for those 3 weeks. ESPN fantasy basketball has a full schedule grid for remaining weeks for each team, including last 2 weeks of season which might not apply for Yahoo leagues. Those 3 weeks before the final 2 weeks might be a different playoff scenario all together. Just saw that grid so I thought I'd pass it along. I'll get back to you before night is over!!!

    • I need advice here too -- if ever I will drop Manu... I have decided it will be for any of these guys...

Bradley Beal, Eric Bledsoe, Jeff Green, Trevor Ariza, Gordon Hayward.

    • Almost forgot! I'm looking at Harkness too, maybe as a E.Clark replacement! LA now goingback to the old Kobe offense and Clark is seeing good PT but less shot's and scoring. Harkness is going to see alot of PT and is scoring but has real good RB's,steals and blocks potential. Tob. Harris was just added in my league a few day's ago,and is doing well, but I'm going to scout harkness rest of week and see how he does consistently/not. Has a great playoff schedule as well.

    • Gabe: Related info--Lowry only has 9 games, weeks 21-23! I own Amir johnson too so I also have some Raptor decisions to make. Let me throw this your way andget your opinion. I have J.Jack who's been so good but on a slide last 2 games. He has only 9 playoff games. Dude in 3rd place just dropped Korver for k.Love. I'm thinking he may reaquire Korver because he has #3 W/W priority. I'm right behind him(on w/w priority) over everyone else. With Korver's 12 game playoff schedule I might drop jack for him. When Jack is playing well he's pretty good across the board. Korver averages about 10 pts. per game but lately he has been getting steals,RB's,some blocks and of course his steady diet of 3's. FT% is great too. FG%'s are about equal also. Would you use the W/W priority on Korver over jack?

    • Gabe: As of 5pm EST Beal is considered day to day! MRI clean on him but nothing more definitive than that. I'd hold for a few more days until something more clearer comes out!
