There are few things we can control in this Fake Football game. If you can control your destiny by playing a team you have a better chance of beating in round one, as long as it doesn't keep someone else out of the playoffs then I say why not?
They "Bench" players in the NFL all the time for a lot of different reasons. I have had players of mine benched for no good reason other than the "Coach" got a bug up his but. If I want to bench a player I will. And if you don't think that teams don't throw games at the end of the year because it helps their draft position the next year then I have one word...Luck. That's what it's all about. Luck, Skill and controlling the tihngs we can, accepting the things we can't and knowing the difference.
And if it is a Cut Throat league, then by all means.
