Commissioner Corner Message Board
What does yahoo plan on doing to fix what happened on week 10. Either way people will be getting screwed. I recommend giving everyone thier optimal line up and score the game from that. Its the only way to do it fair.
I know in my league I tried to change a RB last minute because of injuries and ended up losing because of yahoo being down.
What does everyone else think?
my co-commish and i came up with this solution and it worked. fortunately for us, we all know and trust each other, so we went on the honor system. there were only two players in our league affected by the glitch, so we simply asked them to tell you which players they intended to play...and adjusted their score accordingly. in the end, one owner got positive points for the Pats D & K. Rudolph (that he was unable to start because of the problem), the other owner lost over 21 points because he was honest enough to say that he would have started brady & ridley...not flacco and fred jackson. so for us...it was an easy solution. 'however, if you don't have complete trust in the honor and integrity of your owners...a cheat could #$%$. for us, it worked out perfectly as thought the glitch had never occurred.
I think yahoo should go by the lineups that were set when the games started. You always run the risk of something happening when you wait until the last minute to set/make changes in your lineup.
Honestly, I could care less what yahoo decides to do as I don't play in public leagues. All my leagues are custom leagues where either I'm the commissioner or I have contact info for the commissioner and if problems like this arise, there are other ways to submit a lineup like what we use to do back before yahoo was around (ie. phone calls, email, text).
