    Fair or no?

Had a team not start a kicker this weekend now it comes monday and the team he was playing picked up succop so that he could not start any kicker. I know its the fault of the person who didnt start a kicker but he is irate because this mathematically eliminates him from playoffs. Fair or no?

    • The object is to Win the Game. I would do it; And to eliminate him from the playoffs: Priceless. A lot of people this week found out if you wait until the last minue you may just be SOL.

    • yahoo does not allow a free agent picked up on monday to be played that night in my league,is this not the same for you other owners?in my league the site would not have allowed him to pick up that kicker and start him same night on monday,if this is different for other leagues please respond as it is an issue in mine and something i wish yahoo would correct.its like mondays game dont count for that week when it comes to pickups

    • So the only kicker available was Succop? Or did he add and drop every kicker on Saturday night so they wouldn't count as FA's and the waiver wire would have prevented him from picking up the player before the game?

It's fair if he did that.

I try to do this every week if i am going against someone who has a bye week player and doesn't have an available player on his bench. Is it lame? of course, but considering how little effort it take's to pick up a FA and put him in your lineup, it should never come down to it.

    • Legal move, but violating the "Yahoo! Fantasy Football Sportmanlike Conduct"
It clearly states no players should be picked up onlt to block other players from getting them.
But then again... isn't that what you do on draft day?

      • i have never seen this sportsman like conduct rule. if i set my lineup and there is anyting else i can do to get a win i will.. Its all about the W's!! with that being said, im only in leagues with friends so the trash talking is always at a maximum. i would have done the exact same thing, then laughed my way to stealing a win!! but what goes around comes around, this guy might get whats coming to him.. perhaps an injury to a key player.. i made trades thinking i was easily in the playoffs and trying to improve my team for the future.. now vick and cutler were hurt, my only 2 qb's

    • Unless there were extenuating circumstances that prevented him from picking up a kicker all week then the only person he should be irate at is himself. Yes, you could say that's a rude move on behalf of the other manager but they didn't do anything wrong. The only thing you could say of the guy who picked up Succop is maybe he is guilty of poor sportsmanship by not letting the game play out, kind of like the officials affecting the outcome instead of the players.

    • fair, and smart by the other manager. people have all week and if he couldnt find two minutes to pick up a kicker then its his own fault.
