Commissioner Corner Message Board
The other day, I was very sick. Because of it, I accidentally dropped the wrong person. Now I normally don't do drops or trades when I am physically incapable, but the situation was that I needed a Defense right away because my defense would be on BYE next week and there was only one decent DEF left to pick up. I had to react as quickly as possible. Anyway, another member of the league immediately picked up the person I accidentally dropped, which really turned my day from bad to worse. I don't suppose there's a way to get my dropped player back, despite the other team picking him up as soon as I dropped him? It would be nice if there was a rule that players currently ranked in the top 20, or in the top 5 in their position could NOT be dropped or could be re-obtained if accidentally dropped. I've tried numerous time to explain my situation to the person who picked up my dropped player, but he is hearing none of it. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Well, if your league has Yahoo cannot cut list, then you couldn't drop certain players...
If you were physically incapable, how did you even manage to work the computer in the first place?
Like the other guy said, yahoo makes sure who you drop at least twice, so it is your responsibility to check and double check and triple check... You don't want to make one exception now because if that happens other people can use it to advantage when they are thinking about dropping players... saying that it was a mistake...
Just move on and let it be a lesson...
You won't find any sympathy here. You had to click and then click again. Pizz poor planning on your part does not qualify you for any special treatment. And No waivers is a Cut Throat league from the get go. Live by the sword.... .
talk to your commish. if you are the commish, explain the situation to the league and ask for a league vote.
unfortunately, if the player is dropped, you are at the mercy of the league. technically, your opponent did nothing wrong. if your places were reversed, you'd want to keep the player too.

Thanks for the advice. Commish probably won't do anything because he has been inactive :-/. I do want to say you don't know me. I'm not even kidding when I say that I would give the player back if it was an accidental drop. I know how the person would feel (even more so now) and would want to be as fair as possible. Just wish this person felt the same way :-/
