  • Cheating Manager! Please Help!

    I have a father/son combo in the league I manage. The father just got knocked out of playoffs this week, he dropped all his best players and gave it to his son who finished in 2nd with a bye week. I know I can take all the players and put them back, but I feel like punishing them further. Is there anyway to adjust the seeds of playoffs? Thanks!

      You face a dilemma. If you did not have a written Rule in place, then this falls under the "Moral Code" which means they may get mad at you and issue an appeal.

      In any event none of the other people told you how to solve the question you asked.
      1. Drop the players from the sons team and return them to the father.
      2. Then go into "Commissioner Tools" and look under the Team Management heading and click on "Edit Team Points."
      3. Do your research and input what the points the son would have received had he started his usual players. This will not only affect Win/Loss column but also what you are wanting to affect- the Playoff Seeding.

        Then, let them know that they will not be invited back next year for collusion.

        Let the rest of your league know what you are doing and why, and let them know that cheating/collusion is not to be tolerated.

      As a good commish...I always lock the managers that don;t make the playoffs to prevent them ffrom dropping the players and making the playoffs unfair. Either way you do it, it will be an unfair advantage.....but I would take the cheating sons roster....bench all his players and then lock him out froim making any chnages and let him lose that way.....but it gives the other team a free win.....so that sucks either way. Just take all his fathers p;ayers away...

      first it sounds like your league doesnt use waivers. you should start. second, lock team...

      second, lock teams that dont make playoffs.

      third, your the commish dude, you can just give the son a zero for the week and make him lose / disqualify him.

      fourth, dont invite them back to make an example out of them for the rest of the league.
