I have the first round draft pick in our live draft and i am deciding on if i should draft a great running back with my first pick and take tom brady with my second pick or take tom brady with first pick to make sure i get the guy i want at quarterback. our league has three quarteback spots and 4 running back spots. what should i do? we have 25 rounds of drafting and have 8 teams. does anyone think they will take tom brady in first 8 spots in draft?

man, i pity you being the 1st pick!! what a curse since your season will depend on it and you won;t get a 2nd rd pick for awhile. i've been there and understand your dilemma.
while it's tempting to get who you want on your team (brady) that's an emotional/personal choice. i'd stick with the odds.
you have time in the draft to pick up your qb's. there's not a whole lot of difference in fantasy pts between #1 and say #12 or so and btw, brady is great in real life but usually isn't the best choice for fantasy. rodgers, brees to name 2 are tops.
i agree go w/rb 1st and foster. here's what i'd do:
rd 1 rb foster
rd2/3 (back to back) top 20 rb and then you can get brady if you want rd 3. if there's a rush on qb's by your 2nd/3rd picks, then go w/the highest ranking rb available.

Even though your league is heavy on QB, it's also VERY heavy on RBs considering how extremely weak they are this year. QB is deep this year than in the past.
Even in that setup, I see no reason why Brady would be gone before your second pick (unless you're in a league with a bunch of Boston homers). He isn't the top rated player at his position - he's usually the 3rd to 5th QB taken in standard drafts).
I would draft a RB (Foster).
What are your other position requirements?- View Replies
