Commissioner Corner Message Board
On the Falcons recent turnover the center hiked a ball that never even touched Matt Ryan's hands, yet Matt Ryan is credited for the fumble.
Does anyone know if the NFL will look at this and give the center credit for the fumble? I'm very aware the NFL goes back and makes statistical changes, I was just hoping to get an answer instead of waiting four days before Yahoo notifies the people.
That is crap! Like you said, Ryan never even got his hands on the ball, because the center basically rolled the ball behind him. They better change it, because that was DEFINITELY not Matt Ryan's fault!!!!

Thing is, I can't recall a center being credited with a fumble unless of course they someone had possession of the ball from another fumble and then fumbled it themselves.
It will be interesting to see how the NFL rules this play. I've seen QB's get wrongfully accused of fumbling before, such as a Brett Favre handoff to Peterson that was obviously AP's fault, yet credited to Favre.
But in this case, Matt Ryan never touched the ball.
