Commissioner Corner Message Board
Please help me out. Last week trade was proposed by one team and accepted by another on Nov 9. Trade is pending for 3 days. Nov 12 is a trade dead line. On Nov 12 trade disappeared both manager did not realize that. Around 1pm on Sunday they were asking me what happened to their trade, but I had no idea at the time. Finally today I realized, because of the dead line trade got cancelled, but that doesn't make any sense.
Here is the question: Should I force this trade and update line up retroactively? This trade might affect outcome for 4 teams, unfortunately it might affect outcome for my team as well. I hate being in the middle of this.

This is an email from November 9th:
The trade offer proposed in CRY BABIES has been accepted.
There will now be a 3 day waiting period before the trade is processed. Go to your team page and click on the trade details link to review the trade. If you feel this trade is unfair, send an official protest to the commissioner.

Something else must have happened, because according to what I've read, as long as a trade is *accepted* by the deadline, it should be fine. Doesn't necessarily need to be processed by then. Regardless, you need to let the trade go through, in my opinion as a fellow commish.

Agreed, both parties before dead line accepted the trade; therefore yahoo shouldn’t have canceled it automatically. I sent an email to yahoo, but did not get an answer yet.
My intent is to allow this trade as of last week and update the lineups accordingly. I already received complained from someone in my league. This is what he said:
"I can understand attempting to allow the trade, but I don't think that line ups should be changed retroactively, especially since it does changes outcomes in both the Blue Balls-gottagetluckypart3 and the Gottagetluckytoo-Gottagetlucky matchup."
Also, I think that the commish ought to give people beyond 4 pm today to respond to this issue so everyone can have a chance to review.
Otherwise I am fine with this trade although it does seem a little lopsided.
