I need some real help: I need 3 between Jordy Nelson, Seyi Ajirotutu, Robert Meachem, and Deion Branch. I don't like Branch this week with his hamstring still hurting, but I cannot make a call on the other 4. I'm also need to choose between BGE, Tolbert, Best, McGahee and Woodhead - need to play 3. Please help!!
GET: Ray Rice, Deion Branch, Nate Washington
Give: Andre Johnson, Danny Woodhead
OR Get: JAhvid Best
Give: A. Johnson
QB Matt Schaub
RB Peyton Hillis
RB Danny Woodhead
WR Hakeem Nicks
WR Andre Johnson
WR Steve Johnson
TE Brandon Pettigrew
BN Matt Ryan
BN Mike Tolbert
BN Mike Hart
BN Brandon Lloyd (BYE)
BN Steve Breaston
I'd be upgrading my RB but I dont really need Washington or Branch, is it worth giving up Johnson, even though he's not producing like we expect it just hard to give him up?
I think you're right to question Branch this week, i would set him. I really like Seyi Ajirotutu this week. All he needs is one big play to make a fantasy success this week, and with the depleted Chargers receiving corps and terrible Texans secondary, i see that as a strong possibility.
Meachem isn't a bad play, but he's been really inconsistent. You never know which Saints receiver will go off. However, I think Brees is in for a big week this week, coming off a huge victory v. the Steelers. Meachem is a decent play.
Jordy Nelson will probably grab 5 catches for 40-50 yards. If you're in PPR, this is an ok play. If not, I'd really try and get James Jones if he's available in your league. I know he went for 0 last week and he had some drops, but he'll be looking to make up for that and faces a bad Texans secondary. If you're in PPR though and Jones isn't available, give Nelson a ttry.
As for your running backs, I would go Woodhead, BGE, and Tolbert. Im really big on Tolbert this week cause i think he has an excellent chance for a TD given that the Chargers should move the ball well. The patriots have been running the ball extremely well, and there seems to be enough fantasy points to go around in that backfield. Now that Best is splitting caries with Smith and and Stafford is throwing bombs to Calvin Johnson, i dont trust Best as an every week contributor, especially against the Jets. McGahee isnt a terrible play, but in the same tier as the above players.
