Commissioner Corner Message Board
OK, I have a keeper league and have Forte and Andre Johnson rounds 1 and 2. I'm thinking rounds 3 and 4 to go for top tier wide outs in stead of second RBs so like a Steve Smith and Colston combo or Jennings and Bowe in those rounds. But round 5 I need an RB. Which RB's do you guys think will be around then? Or which sleepers should i reach for? I made a small list of a few I was thinking, let me know what you guys think
I'm not worried about a QB or TE till later, I would rather solidify my main group. Do you think the strategy is good?
Of the 5 mock drafts I have done lately, here is where each of the above rb's have been drafted (average)
Larry Johnson (53rd pick)
Derrick Ward (58th)
Chris Wells (60+)
Cedric Benson (60+)
Donald Brown (60+)
I have only been keeping track of the first 5 rounds.
I would suggest you do some mock drafts at ESPN and see how your strategy works. But I would probably take Derrick Ward over Larry Johnson because Ward will be on a team that has no QB, so no air attack. Johnson has a new qb, a few good wr, so he won't get the carries/yards that Ward will.
of that bunch you listed i'd say from best to worst: 1. ward 2.LJ 3.wells 4.brown 5. benson
i like the strategy for sure get the 5 core first, it is hard not to go for a top qb early but....
i use that strategy as well
I like to pick up
other sleep running backs are Wells and Moreno
benson and julius jones are possibilities
and ray rice but they go a lot later in most drafts

Larry Johnson or McFadden for sure. For some reason, I am not completely over my Addai hangover either so I may take a gamble on him in the 5th. By the way, I have been drafting RB, WR, WR, WR, RB and it has given me my best teams (at least in my opinion). QB would then be next....
