    Time to drop Starlin Castro?

I have Jean Segura starting at SS right now. Is it time to drop Castro or should I hold onto him?

    • I like Jean Segura so I'd go ahead and drop him if there's another position you need help at. An underrated alternative would be Mike Aviles, who's available in most leagues and a serviceable backup who's eligible at 2B, 3B, and SS. I like Castro and think he'll pull out of this funk at some point but if he's just riding your bench I'd switch him out for help at another position.

    • Nice, I had Segura and Castro on my team but have been playing Segura most of the time. I dropped Castro last week, he's just in a funk and lest we forget he does play for the Cubs, who are doomed to live in the cellar in the NL Central. Heck, JJ Hardy is hitting better than Castro and Castro is in his early 20s.

    • I have Castro as well. I wish I had your situation. If you think there is player that has better upside than Castro then you should do it. However, I do not have that luxury. Rarely do you want to carry two SS on your team. I would go with your gut on this one.
